(Fargo, ND. —October 21, 2013) Spectrum Aeromed announced that they have completed customizing a Pilatus PC-12 with a dual patient system medical interior for Caldwell, Idaho based Summit Air Ambulance along with Fargo Jet Center. This is the second medical interior Spectrum Aeromed has completed for Summit Air Ambulance.
Chief Executive Officer of Summit Air Ambulance, Monty Gallegos, commented on why the company chose Spectrum Aeromed for a second time, “We chose Spectrum Aeromed again because they’re easy to work with and the interior is very professional looking. The interior that was installed in the previous aircraft had superior quality because it has held up better than past interiors,” said Gallegos, “Spectrum Aeromed also provided a clear line of communication and provided a great follow up and delivered on the agreed timeline.”
“This is the second PC-12 aircraft for Summit Air Ambulance and the first customized installation with Fargo Jet Center,” said Spectrum Aeromed Vice President and Account Executive Matthew Christenson, “This is the third customized PC-12 we have completed for customers in the United States in the past two years.”
The customized PC-12 features two transport beds, and fully customized medical interior. The interior includes a custom cabinet for storing the patient loading device and medical bags. The front also features a large storage cabinet for medical equipment and devices. Along the wall are electrical outlets and hook ups for air, oxygen and vacuum systems.
“We are very proud of the work our engineering and production teams performed on this customization,” said Spectrum Aeromed Chief Operating Officer Chad Kost. “This PC-12 has the storage, functionality and space needed to allow emergency medical staff the room they require to transport and attend to patients quickly with ease. Although a lot of our fixed wing work is done for international customers, we continue to see United States operators choosing our products. We are excited to see growth in this segment of our business.”
