QMS Compliance Manager

Education and/or experience:

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor degree is preferred;
  • ISO9001 or other quality systems standards basic knowledge; AS9100 (aviation, space & defense)
  • QMS knowledge preferred
  • Internal auditing experience preferred
  • Specialized AS9100 training will be provided by Spectrum Aeromed (Travel may be required)
  • Knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft Office

Language skills:

Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, procedures, safety rules, and equipment instructions

Summary:

The Quality Management System Compliance Specialist/Manager performs duties related to the continued improvement of Spectrum Aeromed in the areas of quality management system (QMS): document control, internal auditing, customer & regulatory requirements, and other processes for compliance. He/She will represent management during the yearly certification audits and customer management audits/surveys. management audits/surveys.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Includes the following – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management system standard
  • Plan, organize and control all activities required to control the documents, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and forms
  • Develop and ensure timely execution of Spectrum Aeromed’s annual internal audit program
  • Manage Spectrum Aeromed’s internal auditor training program.
  • Prepare and lead QMS Management Review Meetings.
  • Perform internal audits, documenting and communicating findings to the appropriate management and/or supervisory personnel.
  • Follow-up on corrective, preventive and continuous improvement actions.
  • Contribute to review of customer and regulatory requirements to communicate the impact on QMS.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on QMS.
  • Support and comply with the professionalism standards established by Spectrum Aeromed.
  • Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards.

Now Hiring:
Engineer

Summary:

An engineer at Spectrum Aeromed is responsible for design, drafting, and structural analysis of the manufactured products.  Engineers also write the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval reports.

Competency:

Competency will be assessed by the department manager at the end of the probationary period utilizing essential duties and responsibilities specific to their job description. Employee competency will be indicated on the employee evaluation form.

If competency in essential duties and responsibilities is not met, the department manager will document and set an appropriate probationary period for re-evaluation.

Education and/or experience:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering
  • CAD software proficiency, specifically 3D modeling and drafting in Autodesk Inventor and Cadkey
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

  • Three-dimensional modeling and drafting of all parts and assemblies to be manufactured by our company
  • Calculating and writing stress analysis reports for all equipment to be STC approved
  • Creating assembly instructions within the equipment drawings and assisting shop personnel in manufacturing
  • Writing reports for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in our STC approval process
  • Working with the entire engineering team on each project, coordinating and communicating throughout the project life cycle
  • Support and comply with the professionalism standards established by Spectrum Aeromed management.
  • Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards.
