Controller

Summary:

The position of Controller will be responsible for all accounting and financial activities of the Company. They will also assist with development of internal controls, procedures and financial planning as needed.

Education and/or experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with emphasis in Accounting, or a related field.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Certified Public Accountant license preferred but no required.
Ideal candidate has a minimum of five years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency with accounting / ERP software and experience with software implementation.
Excellent computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9000 a plus.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Includes the following – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analysis.
    Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to financial management, budget and accounting.

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process.
  • Oversee month-end / year-end closing of the books. This includes ensuring that all adjusting entries are run and compiling a summary of percentage complete for active projects.
  • Oversee and approve payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all bank and credit card accounts are properly reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Read and review any documentation attached to checks for approval and accuracy sake.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly sales and use tax.
  • Prepare monthly financial summary and key performance indicators for COO and Board Members.
  • Perform/supervise routine internal audits as required. Organize information and statements for external auditors.
  • Maintain an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments and debts.
  • Maintain financial and ERP software applications.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal laws regarding finance, tax filings, and reporting.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Additional Controller duties as assigned.

Now Hiring:
Internal Compliance Auditor

Education and/or experience:

High school diploma; or GED
Knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of aerospace and/or quality standards and internal audit processes
Specialized AS9100 training will be provided by Spectrum Aeromed (Travel may be required)

Language skills:

Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, procedures, safety rules, and equipment instructions

Summary:

The Internal Compliance Auditor performs duties related to the continued improvement of Spectrum Aeromed in the areas of document control, internal auditing and knowledgeable contact for compliance. He/She will represent management during the yearly certification audits and customer management audits/surveys.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and control all activities required to control the documents, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and forms
  • Must be able to manage to Spectrum Aeromed’s internal auditor training program.
  • Perform internal audits, documenting and communicating findings to the appropriate management and/or supervisory personnel.
  • Follow-up on corrective, preventive and continuous improvement actions.
  • Show working knowledge of AS9100, ISO, or similar quality management system as demonstrated in the document control and internal auditing duties.
  • Support and comply with the professionalism standards established by Spectrum Aeromed.
  • Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards.

Drafter/Designer
Full Time – Fargo, ND

 

Education and/or experience:

Two year technical degree an associated field: or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language skills:

Ability to read and write English

A Designer-Drafter analyzes the needs and requirements when designing products to meet customers’ needs.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Determine a course of action based on design
  • Provide variations of designs for different construction circumstances
  • Use drafting tools and computer-aided drafting (CAD) systems to prepare technical drawing that includes structural, electrical, and mechanical components.
