Summary:

An engineer at Spectrum Aeromed is responsible for design, drafting, and structural analysis of the manufactured products. Engineers also write the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following – Other duties may be assigned

  • Three-dimensional modeling and drafting of all parts and assemblies to be manufactured by our company.
  • Calculating and writing stress analysis reports for all equipment to be STC approved.
  • Creating assembly instructions within the equipment drawings and assisting shop personnel in manufacturing.
  • Writing reports for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in our STC approval process.
  • Working with the entire engineering team on each project, coordinating and communicating throughout the project life cycle.
  • Support and comply with the professionalism standards established by Spectrum Aeromed management.
  • Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards.

Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering.
  • CAD software proficiency, specifically 3D modeling and drafting in Autodesk Inventor and Cadkey.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

Pre-Employment Requirement:

Job Status: Full-time

Summary:

This individual provides support to the Engineering Department for the operational duties outlined below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Three-dimensional modeling and drafting of all parts and assemblies to be manufactured by our company.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to work with engineering formula to analyze and develop stress reports.
  • Good use of geometric formulas in designing and analyzing products.

If competency in essential duties and responsibilities is not met, the department manager will document and set an appropriate probationary period for re-evaluation.

Intern must be interviewed. A drug/alcohol screening test, background check, talent assessment, and other testing is at the discretion department manager.

Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer Intern
Job Status: Full-time

Summary:

This individual provides support to the Engineering and Production Departments for the operational duties outlined below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Investigate and resolve issues and delays in production through root cause analysis and corrective action. Participate when requested in the finished product and raw material MRB process.
  • Design and implement tooling into the manufacturing process, specify tooling requirements and manage tooling implementation projects including sourcing.
  • Identify, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed. 
  • Collaborate with the design process with an eye on design for manufacturability. 
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
  • Study production and machine requirements.
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations. 
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Support and comply with the professionalism standards established by Spectrum Aeromed management.
  • Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards.
